Microsoft Project Online Developer – Frisco, TX

Overview

Our Project Online Developers utilize their experience and knowledge of project management and Microsoft’s suite of applications to provide innovative and creative solutions to meet our clients PPM needs.  

Core Responsibilities

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Project Server or Project Online implementation, customization using SharePoint technologies.
  • Serve as project lead or lead technical staff in course of application development project.
  • Participate with team of technical staff and business managers or practitioners in the business unit to determine systems requirement and functionalities needed in large/complex development project.
  • Proven knowledge and work experience in Web Services technologies.
  • Demonstrate Project Portfolio Management domain knowledge in combination with broad technology knowledge and the ability to architect solution by mapping common enterprise business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Project Server (or Project Online) and experience implementing, configuring, customizing and administering the application.
  • Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database management system.
  • Expertise in intranet web application development using SharePoint, C#, ASP.NET, JSON, JQuery, SQL Server 2008/2012, .NET Framework, Project Server, TFS, Visual Studio 2013/2012, MS SQL Reporting Services (SSRS); Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Actuate, Cognos BI or other related reporting software will be considered.
  • Microsoft SharePoint Services (WSS), Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Microsoft Search Server (MSS) or other web-based collaboration and document management platforms.
  • Strong leadership, presentation, project management, and communication skills are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CIS, or Computer Science.

  • Experience defining Information Architecture (IA), Governance and Workflows in SharePoint

Coordinate service levels and agreements and prioritize resources across projects and entities. Organize and manage resources and plans all work required to complete a discrete project within defined scope, quality, time and cost parameters in a client facing environment. PowerBI Developer – Frisco, TX

Overview

Protivix Microsoft Business Intelligence consultants contribute on highly collaborative and challenging teams to deliver end-to-end Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for our clients utilizing the Microsoft BI stack (e.g., SQL Server, RDMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Tabular, PowerPivot, SharePoint, Power View, and Excel Services).

Core Responsibilities 

  • Understand clients’ business objectives and functions to support data and information needs.
  • Communicate how Microsoft BI aligns with client organization’s business and strategic objectives.
  • Architect and oversee development for Microsoft BI Solutions including data models, ETL packages, OLAP cubes, and reports utilizing Microsoft SQL BI Stack and Power BI.
  • Architect cloud based, highly scalable data platform and data analytics solutions in Azure.
  • Lead design, development, and testing of BI solution based on specifications, sound development and testing methodologies, and best practices.
  • Apply best practices through the development lifecycle.
  • Assist with business development cycles providing subject matter expertise in client proposals.
  • Estimate effort and cost for a Microsoft Business Intelligence solution.
  • Experience with multidimensional and Tabular data warehouse design, including a solid understanding of MDX/DAX, calculated measures, hierarchies, slowly changing dimensions, and data/time dimension analysis.
  • Build effective and visually pleasing dashboards/ reports to represent the story to answer those business questions with the help of data.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of development experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
  • Proficient in the development of front-end reporting and analytics platforms including OLAP cube design in SSAS, tabular data modeling, Power Pivot, Power View, Power BI, SSRS report development, and SharePoint integration.
